About Me
DiDi Chapman (Jaroslava Chapman – Marislerova)
Born in the Czech Republic, early on in my life I recognized that art was an important part of my identity.
I was specifically attracted to drawing my natural surrounding environment using pencil and Indian Ink. My passion for creative art developed into 20 years as a Graphic Designer. In 2003 I moved to Australia continuing my career as an International Graphic Designer, whilst improving my English.
I attended the National Art School In Sydney where I learnt new art skills such as Etching and Printmaking. My passion for drawing with Indian Ink continued allowing me to hold a successful Solo exhibition in Sydney in 2007.
Since shifting to New Zealand in 2013 I set up home in Taupo with my Kiwi husband and our two sons. Art is a journey of expression. I have came full circle in my journey, back to my original passion working with clay and Ink...

I enjoy transferring my 2D drawings into clay medium, creating a 3D work of art. Equally, I continue to use Indian Ink to capture my picturesque surrounds onto paper.
