Print making enables me to work with a wide range of media and techniques. At the moment I enjoy exploring the opportunities woodcut printing can provide. New Zealand’s natural environment is an endless inspiration for my print making. I enjoy exploring the textures and patterns in nature in particular I am drawn to the movement of water. Using the process of woodcut printing seems the natural media to use. When the image and materials work well together I feel a natural part of the printing process. Whenever I peal the paper off the plate I get excited to see what has happened. The further I experiment and research print making the more doors open to new ways of exploring its possibilities...
